Porchlight BeYou

Adult Class

NHS Porchlight BeYou Project helps LGBTQ+ youth and young adults find confidence and community, particularly if they have been experiencing marginalisation and related issues that have resulted in a need for mental and emotional health support.

Our over 18 group created this powerful track and video and talk about their experiences in a videocast.

Porchlight BeYou

Youth Class

Our under 18s group wrote, performed and produced this catchy and inspiring alternative pop track, together with a video that shines with imagination and positivity.

It is a real collaboration of upbeat visuals and effects, including original animation and fun montages.

Podcast and interview

Lead vocalist Sage describes making music and friends with Into The Now and what she’s learned from the experience.

NHS SLaM Recovery College

Students and teachers, as well as our founder, Dee Edney, talk about their work with Into The Now and what the project has meant to them.

SLaM (South London and Maundsley) Recovery College is the UK’s largest provider of services to individuals with mental health needs or who are recovering from addiction, as well as their families, carers and communities.

The Into The Now approach is especially suited to being accessible and rewarding for clients at any point on their journey, building connection as well as skills.

Cyber Youth Connection

Turn it up. Our group dug into their experiences to create a track full of attitude and flair, delivering not just a great video but an electric live performance.

This was one of our earliest projects, and proof that we were on the right track, giving disconnected young people a safe space to discover their talents and prove to themselves that they can be authentic, while finding ways forward in learning and engagement.

Our students talk about what creative collaboration and producing art has meant to them.

Don’t Dis Dis

This documentary features young SEN/D participants from a variety of youth groups, showcasing their talents.

It was shown in the local cinema and at the BFI in London’s Southbank to a celebrity audience.

Whitstable and Hempstead Youth Groups

Two youth groups find their voice and learn skills while creating finished tracks and music videos.
